Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
I’m writing today from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where I’ve been staying in the beautiful Chestnut Hill neighborhood since April 1st. I was inspired to visit Philadelphia after reading The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin and Walter Isaacson’s Benjamin Franklin: An American Life and it’s been rewarding to reflect on Benjamin Franklin’s legacy while visiting the city he called home. I’m grateful for his wisdom and for the past five weeks I’ve spent in Chestnut Hill. From exploring the Old City neighborhood and all of the history that lives there to visiting some of Philadelphia’s famous museums (the Benjamin Franklin Museum, the Franklin Institute, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art) to so much more, it’s been incredibly fulfilling. I’ll take a lot with me when I fly home next week and I’ll leave a small part of myself behind.
